Red face To SELL or NOT......

That is the question........I am a Level 11 GW Addict and am using 2 Bags and a Belt Pouch to Collect Items but my original 10 slot Bag is now mostly filled with articlesthat I have been "hoarding" because, not knowing, I figured that down the road in the game I would NEED them to trade/sell to a Crafter that would make me various things but other than using hides for upgrading my Ranger Uni - I have not used much else. I refer to things like mucho Iron Ingots, Bolts of Cloth, Wood pieces, Fiber........I have been tempted to SELL alot of these things taking up space in there BUT fear that IF I do - I will venture into some burb and find out that I needed just what I sold to have my new this or that created????
I wasted Gold to by a Storage Drop because I thought I'd be able to Store these Items until I found out if they were of value to me but found out that you can only store Gold - - - now I have accumulated alot of baggage that might just be excess - How does one know what is excess baggage???

Your storage vault offers 20 additional spots for storing items such as these.

It won't hurt you to sell what you don't need now, as there will be plenty of it around if you ever find out that they might be needed. Items such as Bolts of Cloth and Wood Pieces sell for cheap so you can buy them for cheap as well. Once you get to around level 15 you will be making about a 1000 gold every 2 hours so the 200 gold cost for 10 wood planks won't even dent your wallet.

In other words, sell.

Uhhmmm, OK. First off, the "original" bag has 20 slots, not 10. And what is this "Storage Drop" of which you speak that holds gold, but not items? Are we playing the same game? The vault will hold gold as well as 20 items. You can also buy "runes of holding" that will increase your two bags (but not your belt pouch) from 5 to 10 which is a help. As for what to sell, well that's a struggle you're always going to have. Juggling strorage space is just part of this game. Use your best judgement and as you get new items, decide if they are worth more to you than what you already have. But you'll eventually find that 99% of the stuff you pick up is just merchant fodder.

EDIT: Wow, that first part sounded a little more harsh than I had intended. Sorry about that. Just figured I'd mention that before anyone started harrassing me for harrassing newbs. Also, I've found the vault to be a convenient place to dump all my crafting materials. I now have more than I'll likely ever need, but for some reason I just keep piling 'em in there until each type is at 250. Some kind of odd collector's mentality or something. My vault currently looks like this:

TKS ---- C=ZAR, will go back to one of those Storage Vault TCM's and check, you MUST be right, but after I paid and opened an account I remember a screen coming up asking me how much Gold I wanted to deposit - missed anything about items [ that is what I actually wanted to store, not money].

hahahaha, I saw that rune of holding on first day of playing gw and ignored it since it needs 300 or 400 gp. Now I have 3X lvl 20 toons and just knew about the 5->10 slots conversion thing ...

Ok, first thing to do tonight.

Heheh, when I made my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toons, the first thing I did after leaving pre-sear was get them access to the vault just so that I could get them 2 bags and 2 runes of holding as soon as they set foot in seared ascalon.
